Fine furniture (furniture designed and built to last generations) is built with wood joints. the same methodologies apply to the construction of gates and fences.. Woodworking joints for gates i am working on developing some furniture designs and am looking for someone to create low cost table tops from reclaimed, vintage. Garden gates sag because a square (or rectangular) frame is essentially unstable. built with standard diy woodworking joints, the gate will twist unless it is braced.
